What is Health and Wellness Coaching?

(And why is it different from leadership coaching?)

“Leadership coaching” is what most people think of when they think about coaching. This type of coaching aims at improving organization development, and it focuses on individual skills that enable that development in the context of work relationships, such as team coaching.

“Health and wellness coaching” is different from leadership coaching, as it focuses on behavior change, mindfulness activities, and self-reflection. Health and wellness coaching is a care for the whole person, and as such is not directly related to organization development, even though it can be very useful within the business organization too.

Health and wellness coaching is a partnership between you and me. We will work to help you flourish through setting goals and habits, establishing new perspectives in your life, and cultivating sustainable changes. Coaching is serious work that helps you dig deep into your inner self. We will use coaching tools to help you identify your fears, feel more confident, and establish life goals. My hope in each session is to help you be the best version of yourself!

Focusing on You:

We all feel at some point in our lives that what we do and who we are is not enough. We can get into the rut of feeling as if life is not satisfying or it’s not fulfilling enough. We often feel like something is missing, and yet, we can’t pinpoint exactly what that is. We desire more. You may even have some ideas of what this may look like, but need help processing through it all. 

If you feel that way, it’s time for a change in your personal life journey. It’s time for you to find some partnership to help you define the next steps in your life, empowering you to achieve what you are meant to be. We are all unique. And as incredible as this is, the uniqueness of the human person can also be a challenge in a society that encourages conformity to trends and fitting in. Oftentimes it can feel so much easier to do what others do. This mimetic desire may be getting in the way of you becoming your most authentic and happy self.

The solution exists, and it’s inside of you.
